Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the United States. In the TV and film industry, she's known for her awards and nominations. Bassett was born living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett was able to move with her younger older sister St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five so that they could be near their mom and father, who had separated from their dad. In high school, Bassett watched John Steinbeck's drama Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and an advanced degree (1983) in the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American study) in 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main roles, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
