Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American journalist. She's an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation sometimes. She began working for ESPN in the year of 2016. The child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from her age of nine. Her abilities were crucial in securing her first job as a production assistant at Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of the shows Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. They hired her as reporter for an affiliate of the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. The year 2009 saw her move in Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She reported on stories related to immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas as well as Mexico. The anchor also acted as a fill-in for weather and sports anchors. Later, she was the anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given higher responsibilities. She covered major events such as the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. Additionally, she was host of the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was a host of sports for the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. She also served as anchor for sports on Primer Impacto, a magazine show that was broadcast on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents hail from Veracruz Mexico. The family moved towards Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She also has a sister. In 1992, her family relocated from Mexico and relocated to Miami. Their divorce was soon followed in 1995. Her mother got married to an architect from the naval profession named Fabio Fajardo who passed away of kidney cancer in 2006. In June of 2006, she went to spend one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta was a senior in high school with an idea of what she wanted her future to look like, came to Mount Union University in order to find out whether it was a good fit for her. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. After completing her high school studies, she entered the university to study media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the manager at WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a participant. The passion he had for journalism as well as the confidence she had in herself encouraged her. She in turn, tried to meet the requirements of his boss and not let him down.
